Feeding the Giraffe

This weekend we took a VERY quick trip to Nampa/Boise to see Tyson graduate BSU. For the kids we took a trip to the zoo. A fun new even they have is that you can feed the giraffes each afternoon. Such fun! Alex thought being slobbered on by a giraffe was too silly!

Idaho Trip Part 4: The Zoo & Swan Boats

Ah, the swan boats...we had talked this up to Alex for a long time and when we first arrived they were closed and we were afraid it wasn't going to happen. Thankfully when we came back they were open and had two swans available. Alex got to steer and was in HEAVEN. Note the slant that Seth and Alex's boat is at. There's quite a weight discrepancy. Amy and I were almost as good at steering our boat as Alex was his.... :P

Another Zoo Trip

Ah, sweet sunshine in January! I am so thankful for days that aren't 100% rainy and cold. We took advantage of good weather and Kris, the boys and I headed up to Point Defiance. We're going to make good use of that zoo pass!

27 Weeks & 4 Days

On a hot, hot day at Boise Zoo I'm looking about as pregnant as ever. One more trimester to go and boy are we ready to see this baby! Now, if only we could choose a name!

ZOO LIGHTS!

Last night we went to Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium for the Zoo Lights display. It was fantastic! We all loved it. I've never seen a lights display quite that elaborate, so it was pretty amazing. Definitely put us in the Christmas spirit! It was an extremely cold night, but clear and beautiful.

Yes, I forgot Alex's coat, so he's wearing all the extra clothes including Seth's sweatshirt.

Good times at Zoo Boise

We enjoyed a fun morning at Boise Zoo today. Alex had fun seeing the lions, tigers and bears! His favorite of course was seeing "George" aka any of the monkeys. We're so enjoying a relaxing vacation!

To the ZOO!

On Monday we spent a fun, sunny day at Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. This was Alex's first trip to the zoo and he absolutely loved it! Seth and I enjoyed it too. Half way through Alex fell asleep which was pretty funny too. We heard a sudden thud and looked down and he'd dropped his bowl of snacks out of the stroller and was dead to the world. Good times.
