Lattins Cider Mill

Yesterday we went to Lattin's Cider Mill and Farm for the first time. It's a great place to take little kiddos. Alex loved seeing the many different farm animals, horses, cows, chickens, turkeys, etc. and of course going to the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin! Then we had a yummy apple slushy and some fresh apple cider donuts from the store there. YUM!

Sailing!

A couple of Sunday's ago we spent a GORGEOUS fall afternoon sailing the Puget Sound on the Erickson's boat. It was warm and sunny and the sunset was amazing. Alex loved sailing and "fishing" with the Batman pole. His biggest frustration was only that no one would let him swim! We all loved sailing and hope to go again soon. Here are a few of the (100+) pictures we took that afternoon.

Alex's 2nd Birthday Party

Last Beach Day for the Summer

Last Saturday we spent a gorgeous and WARM (if you know Seaside you know that's unusual) day in Seaside enjoying the beach. We're deep enough into September now that we don't expect to have many more beautiful days, so we thought we'd soak up the last bit of summer in one of our favorite places. Here are a few pictures from our day. We hope you enjoy them!

I love this one...

Sand in the City

Yesterday we spent a fun day at Sand in the City and the Olympia Farmer's Market. Here are a few pictures from SITC. There were large sand sculpture's being built for a competition while we were there. I didn't get any pictures of them, but we're hoping to go back tomorrow and see the finished product. Here's a few pictures of Alex enjoying the festivities. It was a wonderful day!
Playing in the "touch tank."

A sea snail.

Some things should just stay in the water...

Bubbles!!!

The moon sand. I'm pretty sure daddy had as much fun as Alex!

Unfortunate Headwear

Something borrowed from Mr. Potato. It wasn't necessarily a good fit!

Yes, these are my underwear. He spent a few days calling them "glasses" and using them as a slingshot. I have since reclaimed them.

This is where Mickey and Minnie live. It's apparently a very stylish hat often worn during playtime.

Still the cutest kid I know!

Mommy's Birthday Cake

Yes, my birthday was over a month ago. However I'm just now getting around to posting some long overdue pictures. This was Alex's first real culinary venture and I have to say he was quite successful. He was wary of the "owies" because it involved the oven, but Mrs. Kris was sure to take care of that part for him. More batter and frosting ended up on him then anywhere else I think, but the cake was delicious and it was a very fun day! At the end we used my preferred method of cleaning him. Just hose him off outside! :)
