Easter Egg Dyeing

We did our annual Easter egg dye after dinner tonight. We did really well except for the Alex spilling the orange dye all over the counter, floor and himself.... Good thing we were all in old clothes! It was so much fun this year since Alex really knew what we were going to do. He was incredibly enthusiastic and cracked about 7 of the 11 eggs in the process, but all in all a fun time was had!

Two and a half!

It's hard to believe but our baby is already two and a half. Such a grown up little man he is! Here he is helping mommy mop. He always wants to help mommy and daddy and is very independent wanting to do things himself. He picks out his own clothes and dresses himself (which makes for some interesting combinations). One of my favorite things is how he "reads" to himself. He's got an amazing imagination and we're always being attacked by chocolate milk drinking tigers and the occasional bear and bumble bee as well. He likes to play reporter and will say "This is Alex, reporting live from the living room" and go on tell you the happenings of the day. We are so blessed to have this little man and love watching him grow up!

Bird Feeder and Flower Planting

This morning Alex and I took a trip to the store to pick out some flowers and we decided to get a bird feeder for him as well. He absolutely loves watching the birds and squirrels in the back yard and can't wait for them to come eat out of his feeder. After naptime we went out front and planted flowers in the garden. Mrs. Kris came and helped us do lots of weeding and plant the flowers. Alex had a blast!

Here's Alex showing his new bird feeder. (Yes, my camera was on the wrong light setting. Oops!)
Bird food is inside. Time to hang it up!
Ready to go!

Picking up a worm. :)
He decided worms are more fun if someone else holds them!

First beach day of the year!

Aaaah March! How I've missed you! We had such a glorious day today that we took advantage and headed to Seaside. It was warm, sunny, windless and wonderful.

Alex and Seth are pretty much making the same face. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree?
