The Backyard Campers

Last Thursday night Seth took Alex on his first camping trip...all the way to the backyard! Alex was so in love with camping out there I didn't think he'd ever want to sleep in the house again! They took out their cookies and milk for a camping snack, some books to read by flashlight and then of course the flashlights are also good for making shadow puppets. I could hear lots of laughter out there until about 10:30pm which is about 2.5 hours past Alex's bedtime. He was up bright and early the next morning and ready to do more playing in the tent with daddy. It was an extremely successful camping trip. So successful in fact they are camping again tonight!

5 Years

Tomorrow marks 5 years of marriage to my wonderful husband. I am SO blessed to have this man by my side. There's so much I could say, but it all boils down to the fact that there's no one I'd rather walk through life with. I love you, Seth!

Sailing Away...

Since Seth had the day off Monday we decided to take Miss Amanda and go meet Kris and Paul at Tolmie Park for a picnic and playtime. Erickson's had been sailing all weekend and invited us to sail from Tolmie with them back to the Marina. It was a cloudy morning, but as the day went on the sun came out and it was GORGEOUS. It wasn't exactly a strenuous trip as you can tell from all the napping and snacking we did. :)
