Unfortunate Headwear

Something borrowed from Mr. Potato. It wasn't necessarily a good fit!

Yes, these are my underwear. He spent a few days calling them "glasses" and using them as a slingshot. I have since reclaimed them.

This is where Mickey and Minnie live. It's apparently a very stylish hat often worn during playtime.

Still the cutest kid I know!

Mommy's Birthday Cake

Yes, my birthday was over a month ago. However I'm just now getting around to posting some long overdue pictures. This was Alex's first real culinary venture and I have to say he was quite successful. He was wary of the "owies" because it involved the oven, but Mrs. Kris was sure to take care of that part for him. More batter and frosting ended up on him then anywhere else I think, but the cake was delicious and it was a very fun day! At the end we used my preferred method of cleaning him. Just hose him off outside! :)

Good times at Zoo Boise

We enjoyed a fun morning at Boise Zoo today. Alex had fun seeing the lions, tigers and bears! His favorite of course was seeing "George" aka any of the monkeys. We're so enjoying a relaxing vacation!

Silliness!

What can I say? I guess our dinner was just really funny last night. Alex thought so anyway....

Fun on the Erickson Farm!

Today was a beautiful day to spend on the Erickson farm! We had a BBQ, naps and fun with the animals. Alex saw, cows, goats, chickens, horses, birds, bullfrogs and got to go on a tractor ride with Mrs. Kris. It was a very exciting day!
We were watching the cows, but they began mooing quite
loudly and it scared Alex. Look how far he's got his lip out!
Alex napped on a blanket under a tree. So cute!
It was such a beautiful day!
Seth hanging out in the hammock.
Alex driving the tractor. He LOVED it!
Here's Amanda in Kris' wedding dress
doing a pose from their album. Too funny!

Flip-Flops and Other Tragic Events of the Summer

Here's Alex in his cute flip-flops one of the first times I tried to put them on him. As you can see they were not so much a hit as a miss. He was beyond hysterical and the only way to make him stop crying was to take them off. I took a few pictures to show how cute his little feet are in them. Miraculously a few days later he asked Mrs. Kris to put them on him and was absolutely fine. And he's worn them happily ever since.

This is Alex sitting on grass and trying not to let it touch him. He HATES grass. He'll do anything to avoid walking, sitting, standing or laying on it. It makes our backyard awfully small since we have a very small area of cement he'll play on, but wont venture onto the grass....not even to fetch his golf balls. It's going to make for an interesting summer.
